Walmart Pharmacy miss filled Rx - SE 192nd Ave Vancouver, WA

On 06/30/2014 I picked up my Rx's at the mentioned Walmart Pharmacy. I specifically asked the clerk, on loan from the Battleground, WA Walmart, if there were 2 asthma inhalers in the bag as I had a problem last time. She looked and said "yes". The pharmacist, Billy, had to release 2 of my Rx's to me. When he pulled the inhaler from the bag to verify the info I saw there was only 1. I told him there were suppose to be 2 and the clerk had just said there were 2. He looked at the RX that was sent electronically from my Dr (refill authorization) and said should only be 1. I reminded him we, him and I, had just went through this last time I picked this inhaler up and he admitted,in front of witnesses, that he made a mistake an said he would get the other ready for me but I had to wait 7 days to pick it up as it would look like a new RX to my insurance. I picked it up and he waived the co-pay ($42) because it was his mistake. Again, I reminded him of this entire process we went through last time. This time he refused to acknowledge his mistake and even said he didn't correct it last time! I kept telling him "Yes, you did." "You are not reading the Rx correctly again." Regardless he was rude and started saying "I don't lie." Where that came from I have no idea. He gave me a copy of the RX, which i still have, and said "see, it says 9 under quantity. That means 9 grams which is 1 inhaler." I told him that it meant 9 inhalers and 1 inhaler only lasted 1/2 a month. In essence Walmart has now stolen $42 dollars from me as I will have to refill this within 2 weeks and pay another $42 dollars. I have sense talked with my Dr's office and 3 other pharmacies that have filled my Rx's over the last 5 yrs and all say the same about the RX. It is written so I receive 2 a month.

I filled out a form on corporate walmart site with my complaint and have not heard from them. I am now filling a complaint with the Washington State Department of Health. They oversee complaints against Pharmacists and Pharmacies. I encourage all who have had a problem (not rudeness but miss filled Rxs) to look up what agency handles complaints against pharmacies and pharmacists and file a complaint against them. Also file with your insurance company and if on Medicare/Medicaid file with them as well. I understand mistakes happen but it's how you handle the mistake that matters as well.

**UPDATE**

On 07/05/2014 I received a Voice mail from the above mentioned Walmart Pharmacy. On 07/06/2014 when I returned the call the Pharmacist "Billy" informed me I had another inhaler to pick-up with NO COPAY. I picked it up this afternoon (the 6th). No mistake or apology was admitted or given by the Pharmacy but this complaint has now been resolved.
